The frozen earth has put a spell on me
Winter, a season of doubt? A season of dark? Season of silence? It doesn't have to be
It can be a time of wonder, reflection, beauty and discovery
The calmness that the Spirit gives to us for an image yet to be discovered in Spring
Complete stillness, a wonder that is welcomed
To hear the thundering sounds
Of the season that God created for hibernation of our minds, and souls
Be thankful for this grand season. For hope follows
Discover the wonderment of winter

I LOVED this, Barbara! Gorgeous photos and words. All of the pics are beautiful, but the very last one is my favorite. So peaceful looking. Also, lucky you to have caught a woodpecker with your lens. Fun post!
The woodpecker in winter is a thundering sound, Each photo and words brought a new and surprising reaction, so beautiful. I've never appreciated winter so much, although easy to say from my Lazy Boy. The third last photo with the cold sun in the sky that looks like one has come to a fork in the trail, I love it. Evem felt a tear welling once or twice.
Beautiful pictures Barbara, wish I could download them for a desk top image - I can see why Michael is so proud of you! The Great Knook
Hey, nice job with the photos and comments. You may be able to replace the one we call, "Lazy Boy." Seriously, nice work.
However, if our minds and souls go into hibernation, we may become some sort of zombie, or be suspended in time, or may not be able to discern the truth. Hey--then we could qualify to work for "Fox Views", they have all kinds of people that could be described like that.
Words are as beautiful as the pictures; are they yours too? Bear
Hey Bear, yes the words and pics are mine.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Deborah D.
Barb, you always amaze and inspire me. I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Nice blog! The pictures are amazing. You have a way of capturing all the right details! You really have an eye for nature and all it’s beauty! You are able to make the smallest leaf or grand landscape turn into art. Stick with it, can’t wait to see what you can come up with.
Love me :)
Absolutely gorgeous. I love your photography. An artist comes out and it looks like we are liking it. Thank you for sharing.
